Curated Classic Renovation
Renovation
The client had a kitchen that was closed off from the rest of the house but they loved to entertain and really wanted guests as soon as they entered the front door to feel welcomed to the party which would typically take place in the living room and outdoor space. The main goal was to create a more functional floor plan to better entertain large groups of people. We connected the private study and the kitchen with a wet bar so that those locations both had access to the wet bar. We wanted the kitchen to feel like it was super custom and blend into the existing house, while hiding the utility and pantry spaces. The primary bathroom was dated and had walls around the vanities, so they wanted to open it up (a minor face lift), but upgraded all of the finishes. The homeowner had these beautiful heart pine floors throughout the house, and they wanted to keep them, so we had to find a way to make the new design work with the existing floors.
